Showers of Happiness

When my middle sister Diana first announced that she was expecting our parents' first grandchild, our reaction was that of joy and anticipation. Our parents, who have been waiting for years for the opportunity to spoil a young child without having to worry about 2am feedings and poopy diapers, are thrilled beyond belief at the prospect.

Before we knew the gender of the baby, my father joked, "I guess you don't know yet if you are going to be an aunt or an uncle." Hardy, har har ! As we have found out in recent months, the new arrival will be a beautiful baby girl. We are all immensely excited.

And coincidentally, Danny's sister is also expecting her first child, and is also due next month with a little girl. Exciting times for all of us. Here are a couple of pictures.
