Fun in the Sun

Last weekend, we packed up the kids and headed to Southern California for our yearly visit to Huntington Beach. As always, our main purpose was to visit Danny's sister and her family. Normally, on these trips, we take one day to go to a theme park or some other attraction. This year, Danny had the brilliant idea of taking a little road trip -- to Sea World, in San Diego.

I had never been to Sea World before, and I must say, this is now one of my very favorite places in this state to visit. The shows were incredible, and the animal exhibits and aquariums were exceptionally well done. It was a full day of entertainment for us. Here are some pictures.

Killer whale show:

Dolphin and Pilot Whale show:

Pet show (it is amazing what they trained these cats and dogs to do, especially the CATS):

We actually got to PET and FEED these huge stingrays, which was the most awesome experience, especially since the stingray sucks the fish off your hand so strongly, you feel as if your hand is going into its mouth:

We all did boogie boarding, including Jacqueline:

And of course, the very best attraction ever, is this beautiful face:

She even took her first steps in her playgroup that weekend. :) We can't wait to see her again soon.

On a more serious note..

This is a great government program that can help homeowners refinance or modify their home loans, even if the value is currently less than the equity in the home.

I wish I'd known about this before the interest rates jumped up by a ton, but at least we're going to save a significant amount per month once the refi goes through. Pass on the link ! The more people know about it, the more people can take advantage of it.
